  • 100g unsalted butter

Preparation Time:- 10 mins Cooking Time:- 1 hour chilling
Complexity:

What do crunchy Daim bars, soft marzipan and gooey golden syrup all have in common? They are three of only five ingredients needed for this super simple and sweet no bake recipe.

These fridge cakes are ready in next to no time and are fun to do with the kids this summer holiday. Get your sleeves up and get stuck in!

If you’re not keen on marzipan, you can use marshmallows, cherries, anything soft and squidgy to set off the crunchy Daim!

1

First, unwrap your Daim bars and try not to eat them.

2

Next, chop or break them up into small pieces and leave to one side in a bowl.

3

Do the same with the marzipan, cutting into small cubes.

4

Leave these to one side in a bowl.

5

Next, melt your milk chocolate, butter and golden syrup in a bowl either over a pan of boiling water or for short bursts in the microwave.

6

Keep stirring until it’s nice and smooth.

7

Then, add in your cubes of marzipan to your melted chocolate, butter and golden syrup.

8

Then add in your chopped Daim bars.

9

Mix this thoroughly.

10

Fill a baking tray with cupcake cases.

11

Then fill the cupcake cases. I’ve topped mine with another little Daim piece.

Leave to set in the fridge for at least an hour. Best served cold.
