Happy Halloween! Today’s tutorial is how to make Oreo Pops. They are super simple and an alternative to cake pops that is easy to get the kids involved with. I’ve decorated these with Halloween designs but they are very easy to change to suit whatever holiday or occasion. The only limit, as they say, is your imagination!

1

Melt your white chocolate or candy melts and if you want to colour it, you need to use powdered food colour. (I’m using rainbow dust). To get the right consistency of chocolate, add in a tablespoon of oil. Add more if needed.

2

Here is the chocolate once the colour has been mixed in.

3

Carefully split the Oreo.

4

Dip the cake pop stick into the melted white chocolate.Dip the cake pop stick into the melted white chocolate. If you’re struggling to dip and cover your pop, add a little more oil to the chocolate.

5

Gently push the stick into the Oreo cream.

6

Sandwich the Oreo back together using the melted white chocolate as a glue.

7

Pop them in the freezer for about an hour. It makes them a lot easier to work with.

8

Use a spoon to pour melted chocolate/candy melts over the Oreo.

9

When the chocolate is still wet, you can cover with sprinkles. Or wait for the chocolate to dry and decorate with royal icing.

Give them a go and let me know how you get on either on Facebook or Twitter!

Happy baking!
