- 150g grated mature cheddar.
- 150g chopped bacon.
- 150g softened unsalted butter.
- 200g plain flour.
- 2tsp mustard powder.
- 2 egg yolks.
- Splash of milk.
It’s time, once again for this weeks Great British Bake Off inspired recipe! Last week was a super sweet caramel & pecan swiss roll. That recipe can be found here.
This week was all about biscuits! The signature bake was a cheesy affair, so sticking to the theme, this week I bring you mature cheddar and crispy bacon biscuits!
Time to get our hands dirty! Crumble together the flour, mustard powder and butter to make a loose breadcrumb consistency.
Then add in your fried bacon and egg yolks. Add in a splash of milk until your dough becomes workable.
