Jam Heart Biscuits

Shopping List

  • 80g caster sugar
  • 160g unsalted butter
  • 240g plain flour
  • Strawberry jam
Preparation Time:- 20 minutes Cooking Time:- 15-20 minutes
Complexity:

These sweet shortbread biscuits are pretty to look at and tasty to eat! With only four ingredients, they are easy to make for any occasion.

1

Preheat your oven to 180C and blend together the butter and the sugar.

2

Then add in the plain flour.

3

When you’ve got a dough, tip it out onto your surface.

4

Knead your dough into a ball. Wrap this in cling film and pop it in the fridge for 15 minutes.

5

Once the dough is chilled roll it out between spacers and cut out your biscuits. I’m using a fluted cutter for the main biscuit.

6

Cut out your biscuit shapes and leave half as they are and cut out a heart shape from the other half.

7

Put these on a lined baking tray and sprinkle with caster sugar.

8

Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180C or until golden brown.

9

Once cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar.

10

Then carefully spread jam onto your ‘full’ biscuit. (I heated a few spoonfuls of jam in a saucepan to make it easier to spread)

11

Then add a heart cut out biscuit on top.

Give it a try and let me know how you get on either on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram.
