Preparation Time:- 20 minutes Cooking Time:- 25 minutes
Complexity:

Sweet flapjack filled with warm strawberry jam. This is one of my favourites!

Once made, they will last about a week in an airtight container. But they last 5 minutes in my house! Haha!

1

Put the butter and golden syrup into a bowl and microwave until melted.

2

Leave to cool slightly.

3

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

In a bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.

4

Pour in the melted butter and golden syrup. Mix throughly.

5

Pour half of this mixture into a lined 10″ x 8″ tin.

6

Spread over a thick layer of jam.

7

Spread over the second half of your mixture.

8

Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful though, the jam will be molten hot when you take it out of the oven!!

Wait for it to cool (if you can!) and cut into lovely, tasty squares! Then enjoy with a nice cup of tea.

Give it a try and let me know how you get on either on FacebookTwitter or Instagram.
