Bunnies have taken over my kitchen! Small, chocolate, tasty bunnies!
Maltesers MaltEaster Bunnies are delicious and adorable, and when I see something I love that much, I simply have to bake with it! I spotted the Mini Bunnies in my local supermarket and set about creating something to compliment them nicely.
These Maltesers Bunny Bites are a combination of rich chocolate cake and fluffy buttercream mixed with Maltesers spread, rolled into bites, covered in milk chocolate and topped with a cute bunny!
The great thing about this recipe is you can make it all year long, substituting the bunny for any other edible decoration you like!
This recipe makes between 20-24 bites depending on how big you make them and will last up to two weeks in the fridge.
Pour this mixture into a greased 8 x 10 baking tin and bake at 140C for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
To make the buttercream, mix the butter and icing sugar together and add in the Maltesers spread and 1 tablespoon of water to bring it all together. Leave this to one side.
Roll into balls only a lined baking tray (a similar size to your bunnies) and chill again for a further 15 minutes.
And there you have it! The perfect chocolate cake for your table this Easter! See below for the YouTube video!
Give it a try and let me know how you get on either on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Happy Easter and happy baking!
